Telma MCT 25/12.5 Tablet ER works by relaxing your blood vessels and allowing your heart to pump blood more effectively throughout your body. They also remove excess water and electrolytes from your body.

Usage instructions-

• The dose and duration of Telma MCT 25/12.5 Tablet ER should be taken as directed by your doctor. You can have this drug with food or without.

How it works-

Telma MCT 25/12.5 Tablet ER contains three blood pressure-lowering medications: Chlorthalidone, Metoprolol succinate, and Telmisartan. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that excretes excess water and electrolytes from the body via urine. It also works by relaxing blood arteries and increasing blood flow over time. Metoprolol succinate is a beta blocker that acts particularly on the heart to slow it down, whilst Telmisartan is a calcium channel blocker that works by inhibiting the hormone angiotensin to further relax blood vessels.

Safety information-

Pregnancy

Telma MCT 25/12.5 Tablet ER is not safe to use in pregnancy. There are human studies have shown adverse effects on the developing baby. Consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding

Telma MCT 25/12.5 Tablet ER is probably safe to breastfeed. There is limited human data to suggest that the drug poses no risk to the baby.

Alcohol

It is unsafe to take alcohol with Telma MCT 25/12.5 Tablet ER.

Driving

Telma MCT 25/12.5 Tablet ER may impair your alertness, impair your eyesight, or make you drowsy and dizzy. If you have any of these symptoms, do not drive.

Kidney

Telma MCT 25/12.5 Tablet ER should be administered with caution to patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult your doctor.

Liver 

Telma MCT 25/12.5 Tablet ER should be administered with caution to patients with liver issues. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult your doctor.
