Tenoric 50 Tablet is an antihypertensive medication, which is a type of drug used to treat high blood pressure. Hypertension is a chronic medical disorder characterized by elevated blood pressure. The force used by the heart to pump blood to all body parts is measured as blood pressure. Uncontrolled blood pressure can lead to major cardiac problems such as brain damage (stroke), heart attack, and kidney failure.

• The dose and duration of Tenoric 50 Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. You can have Tenoric 50 Tablet with meals or without.

How it works-

Tenoric 50 Tablet includes the active drugs atenolol and chlorthalidone. Atenolol modifies the response to nerve impulses in particular areas of the body, including the heart. By reducing the amount of water (fluid) in the body, chlorthalidone decreases blood pressure by increasing the volume of urine produced by the kidneys. Tenoric 50 Tablet therefore aids in normalize the blood pressure.

Safety information-

Pregnancy

Tenoric 50 Tablet should be avoided during pregnancy. Although there have been few human research, animal studies have revealed some consequences on the growing baby.  Please consult your physician.

Breastfeeding

It is maybe not safe to breastfeed while taking Tenoric 50 Tablet. There is limited human data suggesting that the drug may enter breast milk and cause harm to the baby.

Alcohol

It may cause excessive drowsiness to take alcohol with Tenoric 50 Tablet.

Driving

Tenoric 50 Tablet may impair your alertness, impair your eyesight, or make you drowsy and dizzy. If you have any of these symptoms, do not drive.

Kidney

Tenoric 50 Tablet should be administered with caution to patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult your doctor.
