It's used to treat upper respiratory infections like the common cold and allergies that cause symptoms including a dry cough and other upper respiratory symptoms. The so-called "common cold" is a viral infection of the nose or throat that can cause symptoms including a blocked or runny nose, sore throat, headache, muscle aches, coughing, fever, ear and facial pressure, sneezing, and loss of taste and smell are other symptoms.

How It Works-

Phenylephrine, chlorpheniramine maleate, and dextromethorphan hydrobromide are three medications included in Trump D Syrup that treat dry cough. A decongestant, phenylephrine stimulates the tiny blood vessels to contract, relieving congestion from a stuffy or clogged nose. Sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, and other allergy symptoms are all alleviated by the antiallergen chlorpheniramine maleate. Dextromethorphan hydrobromide, for example, suppresses coughing by reducing activity of the cough centre in the brain.
