How it works-

Phenylephrine, chlorpheniramine maleate, and dextromethorphan hydrobromide are three medications combined in Ventryl -D Syrup Sugar Free to treat dry cough. A decongestant, phenylephrine causes the small blood vessels to constrict, relieving congestion from a stuffy or blocked nasal. As an antiallergen, chlorpheniramine maleate calms allergy symptoms like congested nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. A cough suppressant like dextromethorphan hydrobromide stops coughing by lessening the activity of the cough region in the brain.
