Vertistar MD 24 Tablet is an antihistamine anti-vertigo medication that is primarily used to treat Meniere's disease and its symptoms such as dizziness (vertigo), ringing in the ears (tinnitus), feeling sick (nausea), and difficulty hearing. Meniere's disease is a medical illness that affects the inner ear and is caused by an accumulation of excess fluid within the ear. A person suffering from vertigo believes they are moving or spinning, yet they are not. Tinnitus is characterized by a noise or ringing in the ears.

• The dose and duration of Vertistar MD 24 Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. You can have Vertistar MD 24 Tablet with meals or without.

How it works-

Vertistar MD 24 Tablet contains Betahistine. It works by boosting blood flow in the inner ear, decreasing excess fluid pressure. Excess fluid can send impulses to the brain, causing nausea, dizziness, or spinning sensations (symptoms of Ménière's disease). Vertistar MD 24 Tablet also reduces nerve impulses from the inner ear to the brain, so relieving Meniere's disease symptoms.

Safety information-

Pregnancy

Vertistar MD 24 Tablet is probably not safe to use in pregnancy. There are limited human studies, but animal studies have shown adverse effects on the developing baby. Consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding

It is probably not safe to breastfeed while taking Vertistar MD 24 Tablet. There is limited human data suggesting that the drug may enter breast milk and cause harm to the baby.

Alcohol

It does not cause any harmful side effects to take alcohol with Vertistar MD 24 Tablet.

Driving

Vertistar MD 24 Tablet does not affect your drive.

Kidney

Vertistar MD 24 Tablet is probably safe for use in people with kidney disease. Due to limited data available, dose adjustments may not be necessary in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your physician.
