Vicks Action 500 Advanced Tablet is taken with or without food in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. To avoid stomach issues, take this tablet with food. The dose you are given will be determined by your condition and how you respond to the medication.

You should take this medication for as long as your doctor prescribes. If you discontinue your medication too soon, your symptoms may reappear and your condition may deteriorate. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications, as some may interact with or be affected by this medication.

• Take Vicks Action 500 Tablet with normal water; do not crush, break or chew it.

How it works-

• Vicks Action 500 Advanced Tablet is a combination of four medicines that relieves common cold symptoms: caffeine, diphenhydramine, paracetamol, and phenylephrine.
• Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine that relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Paracetamol is an analgesic as well as an antipyretic (fever reducer).
• It works by preventing the release of chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever. Caffeine increases the effectiveness of paracetamol while decreasing the sleepiness caused by diphenhydramine. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows the small blood vessels in the nose, relieving congestion or stuffiness temporarily.
