The ingredient Cefuroxime, which is an antibiotic, is included in Zocef Dry Syrup. It is used to treat bacterial infections such as acute bacterial tonsillitis, acute bacterial pharyngitis, acute bacterial otitis media, acute bacterial cystitis, acute bacterial pyelonephritis, and acute bacterial infection. Impetigo and maxillary sinusitis are both infections of the sinuses and nasal cavity.

How it works-
By preventing its attachment to certain binding proteins found inside the bacterial cell wall, the second-generation cephalosporin Zocef Dry Syrup prevents the development of bacterial cell walls. By weakening and destabilising the bacterial cell wall, this damages the cells and kills the bacterium.
