Clavam Dry Syrup is an antibiotic drug that helps treat bacterial infections of the nose, ear, chest, throat, teeth, lungs, urinary tract, and skin. It helps eliminate bacteria that are resistant to other therapies and thus helps in the treatment of tuberculosis that is resistant to other treatments.
You may give Clavam Dry Syrup to your child with or without food. It is recommended to give it with food as it helps increase absorption and lowers the risk of stomach upset. The doctor may advise giving it two to three times a day.
This medicine may cause side effects such as abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, and allergy. Give the doctor a complete medical history of your child, including any previous episodes of allergy, blood disorder, birth defect, heart problem, lung anomaly, airway obstruction, gastrointestinal problem, liver impairment, skin disorder, and kidney malfunction. This information will help the doctor adjust the doses and plan your child’s overall treatment.

How It Works
Clavam Dry Syrup is an antibiotic that contains amoxycillin and clavulanic acid as active ingredients. Amoxycillin works by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial protective covering, which is required for bacterial survival. On the other hand, clavulanic acid has the unique ability to inhibit an enzyme produced by resistant bacteria. As a result, the combination of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid is an effective treatment option for a variety of infections.
Safety Instructions-
KIDNEY
Patients with kidney disease should exercise caution when using Clavam Dry Syrup. Please consult with your physician.
LIVER
Patients with liver disease should use Clavam Dry Syrup with caution. Clavam Dry Syrup dose adjustment may be required. Please consult with your physician. In the case of severe liver disease, consult with your child’s doctor before administering Clavam Dry Syrup.
For the Treatment of Resistant Tuberculosis
The bacteria that cause multidrug-resistant tuberculosis produce an enzyme known as beta-lactamase. This enzyme degrades antibiotics, rendering them ineffective. Thus, the bacteria develop resistance to the antibiotics used to treat them. Clavam Dry Syrup contains two active ingredients: amoxycillin and clavulanic acid. While clavulanic acid inhibits the enzyme, amoxycillin kills the tuberculosis-causing bacteria. As a result, the combination of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid is an effective treatment for tuberculosis resistance.
For the Treatment of Bacterial infections
Clavam Dry Syrup contains two different medicines, Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid, which work together to eliminate the bacteria that cause infections. Amoxycillin inhibits bacterial growth. Clavulanic Acid reduces resistance and increases Amoxycillin’s antibacterial activity.
This combination medication can be used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including ear, sinus, throat, lung, urinary tract, skin, teeth, joints, and bones.
