Scabelice Lotion belongs to the 'Topical antiseptic' class of medications, which is generally used to heal wounds, cuts, mild burns, and to protect against infections. Additionally, pediculosis (a disorder in which minute insects infest the scalp) and scabies (a contagious, itchy skin illness caused by a microscopic, burrowing mite) are treated with Scabelice Lotion.
Usage instructions-
- Scabelice Lotion is only for external use. Use as directed by your doctor's instructions for dosage and duration. Before using, read the label carefully.
How it works-
Cetrimide and Gamma benzene hexachloride (lindane) are both included in Scabelice Lotion. Cetrimide is an antiseptic, antibacterial, and antifungal agent. Bacterial cell membranes are disrupted or damaged by cetrimide, which causes bacterial mortality. Gamma benzene hexachloride (lindane) kills lice as well as scabies eggs and mites.
