Mumfer XT Tablet is a combination medication that belongs to the 'hematinic' class of drug, which is primarily used to prevent and cure low levels of folic acid, zinc, and iron in the blood during various health situations (e.g., anemia, pregnancy, reduced diet, surgical recovery). Anemia is a medical disorder in which the body has less red blood cells or hemoglobin than normal hemoglobin (an iron-rich protein that allows red blood cells to deliver more oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body).  The body requires extra zinc, iron, and folic acid during pregnancy, and a deficiency of these components causes anemia in either the mother or the infant.
